The Gables B&B
The Gables is a Bed & Breakfast within an elegant and original 1920's Queenslander home in the heart of Yungaburra historical village. It is within easy walking distance to all the delightful little shops, cafes and restaurants and only a short drive from the fascinating local attractions. There is a fully self-contained apartment or a large bedroom with a double spa bath. Both have fridges and tvs. Tariffs start from $75 per couple per night without breakfast or $95 with.

Nick’s Restaurant is nestled in the lush green countryside of the Atherton Tablelands. The Restaurant has an award-winning garden of native Australian trees, scrubs and tropical fruit trees. Nine months of the year, the Atherton Tablelands experiences warm and sunny weather with temperatures averaging 25C. Nick and his team use the freshest and best products from the local region for their a la carte menu. They pride themselves on offering a professional, courteous and efficient service, located in the heritage village of Yungaburra.
Wilderness Expeditions
Wilderness Expeditions offers bushwalking treks and expeditions in Tropical Queensland. Well-trained and loyal pack donkeys carry luggage, camp furniture food and some wine. Treks may be themed to retrace the earliest explorers and pioneers, visit ghost towns, or view rock art sites. Treks can be overnight or extended to multi day adventures that suit your requirements. Our pack teams make trekking in remote, rugged areas of Cape York and the Atherton Tablelands of Far North Queensland. Much less demanding than walking with a heavy rucksack. The pack teams carry beds, tables and chairs for your comfort in camp. Trekkers need only carry light day backpacks. During our walks we encounter wildlife, observe many species of birds and swim in crocodile free wild rivers. The donkeys add a further dimension to your adventure as hardworking, loveable companions. We continue the traditions of Australian packing methods used by explorers, drovers and miners for hundreds of years. Wilderness Expeditions' treks have been developed during twelve years of operation. We specialise in finding places little visited by others, so you can enjoy the true wilderness.
