Established in 1993, Doongal Aboriginal Art Gallery has expanded to 3 galleries in Cairns and Kuranda and now represents over 20 local Aboriginal Rainforest Artists. Doongal Aboriginal Art is also a showcase of more than 150 internationally renown Central Australian artists. Kai Hagberg is a well-known jeweller in Kuranda, Queensland, Australia. His jewellery is hand made and designed on the premises. He is also skilled in painting and sculpting. Kai may live in Australia but his roots are in North Finland. He was born in 1957 as the youngest of eight boys. He had from a young age wished to live in the tropics and despite the doubts of others he succeeded in fulfilling his dreams.

Welcome to Claire Souter Gallery, located in the beautiful rainforest village of Kuranda. The gallery can be found in the 'Kuranda Settlement' building next to the Butterfly Sanctuary. When visiting Kuranda, be sure to stop in at Claire Souter Gallery to see Claire's paintings for yourself. The entire gallery contains original oil and water colour paintings.
