Black Mountain Hideaway has 25 beautiful hand raised horses that have been especially trained for your learning enjoyment. Suzie and her team can cater to any level of riding. Total beginners are most welcome, as well as those who wish to improve skills. We teach communication with horses, safety for and around horses, grooming, feeding and daily care. Black Mountain Hideaway has been professionally approved since 2005. (14 years in operation), practicing Natural horsemanship, participants can learn additional life skills such as cooking, first aid, working dogs, growing food, caring for land. Young people have the opportunity to experience life on a real farm without the need for electronic devices. The young people will have riding lessons, play games on horseback, go trail riding, bare back riding, fancy dress, discover forest trails to the Mowbray River, and much more. There is a bunkhouse and tents for sleeping on the farm. We cater for children aged 8 to 18 years - $ 110.00 per day/night, you can stay for 5 days, including all meals.
