Cairns Jockey Club

Bally Hooley Steam Railway
BALLY HOOLEY Does that sound Irish to you? Well, you may well be right, as this was the name given to the end of the line up the Mowbray Valley, more than a hundred years ago, possibly by an Irish immigrant. Nowadays Bally Hooley is the name given to the historic little steam train that operates from the Marina Mirage station in Port Douglas every Sunday. Once in Port Douglas the main Bally Hooley station can be found at the Marina Mirage or the train can be caught at one of our other stations on the line. Take a look at a map of Port Douglas for station locations. Tickets can be purchased on the train, or in the office opposite the station entrance at the Marina Mirage. The Bally Hooley Steam Railway operates on Sundays and Public Holidays in Port Douglas, Australia. Cairns Skating Centre
The Cairns Skating Centre is one of the largest indoor spaces in Cairns, providing bench seating for spectators on both sides of the rink, which itself is the second largest in Australia. A full staff can be supplied if required, for events such as private skate sessions, indoor sports or other social events. The facility is equipped with a wireless microphone system and loud PA system.
