Conservation Volunteers Australia

Conservation Volunteers makes it easy for people to care for nature by volunteering on one of our many conservation projects across the country. Volunteers come from a wide range of backgrounds and no prior skills or experience are required, and volunteer projects are available to suit your availability and particular interests. We engage with both local volunteers, as well as many Internationals! Projects run almost daily in the Cairns/FNQ region, from as far south as Tully, west to the Atherton Tablelands, and as far north as the Daintree. We do week-long camping trips, as well as simple, one-day long projects around the region which are free to join. All projects include transportation to and from site.

We will also spend two days in the Wet Tropics around Cairns, picking up the 13 endemics local to that area which includes mouth-watering specialties such as Blue-faced Parrot-finch. We’ll be running 2 tours during the tropical dry season in 2017: one commencing 24 May and another one commencing 24 July.
