Your day starts with a pick-up from Hobart at 7 am. The first stop is Dunalley and the Denison Canal, a canal created to shorten the passage to the East Coast waters of Tasmania. Crossing the swing bridge, you head to Eaglehawk Neck for a coffee break and enjoy the scenic views. You will see landmarks like Candlestick, Cape Hauy, Waterfall Bay, and Hippolyte Rocks. You’ll learn about coastal geology, the fishing community, and local history.
The tour continues through Dog Line into Doo Town, visiting geological formations such as Tasman’s Arch and Blowhole (depending on swells). Then, there's a 2-hour stop at Port Arthur Historic Site for a self-guided audio tour and Port Arthur Harbour Cruise.
Lunch is at the Tasmanian Lavender Farm, where you enjoy a 1-course meal and explore their lavender products. Dessert lovers will enjoy a visit to the Tasmanian Chocolate Foundry for a demonstration and tastings.
Next, visit the Tasman Honey Farm for a behind-the-scenes tour and tastings. You’ll see glass beehives and learn about the honey industry.
The final stop is Dunalley Bay Distillery for gin and oyster tastings, with views of Mt Wellington. The return journey to Hobart offers scenic views of Norfolk Bay’s waters.
