Kata Tjuta Sunrise Tour
This morning tour begins before sunrise with hotel pick up from Ayers Rock Resort. After watching the sunrise over Uluru from the Talinguru Nyakunytjaku platform, guests enjoy morning tea before heading to Kata Tjuta. The tour includes a guided walk through Walpa Gorge with information about the geology and environment. The guide also points out native plants and explains the area's significance. On the return trip, there is a stop at the dune viewing platform to look across the domes of Kata Tjuta. You'll get tea or coffee as the day begins, followed by a drive through the National Park where your guide shares local history and stories. Walk between the high rock walls of Walpa Gorge and stop at a dune viewing platform to look out over Kata Tjuta.

Your Day at a Glance
Uluru Sunrise Viewing – Talinguru Nyakunytjaku
Arrive early at the Uluru viewing area to watch the sun rise over the desert. Enjoy tea or coffee as you take in the view of Uluru and Kata Tjuta in the distance. The area includes platforms and walking tracks for different viewpoints.
Drive to Kata Tjuta with Commentary
The coach drive to Kata Tjuta takes about 45 minutes. During the trip, your Driver Guide shares stories and background on the area's geology and cultural importance.
Walpa Gorge Walk
At Kata Tjuta, take a walk through Walpa Gorge, which cuts through two of the largest domes. The track is rocky in places and follows a streambed. Along the way, you'll see local plant life and learn about the natural features.
Dune Viewing Platform
Before heading back to the resort, stop at a dune viewing platform for wide views over the southern side of Kata Tjuta. This is a good photo opportunity.

An Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park Pass is required for each guest and can be added when booking.
This tour includes a short walk on uneven ground and is not wheelchair accessible.
Bring water bottles with a total capacity of 2 liters per person.
